The SS
AMAKURA(2) was sunk on the 25th August 1942.
The master, 25 crew
members and 5 gunners landed at the
Point Morant Lighthouse, Jamaica, but 13 of
her crew perished.
The crew of the SS AMAKURA(2) are commemorated on panel 6 on the Tower Hill Memorial. |

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old,
age
shall not weary them, nor the years condemn, at the going down of the
sun, and in the morning, we shall remember them.
